Alert description

The Autopilot electronic control unit (ECU) detects that the driver's hands are not on the steering wheel after three consecutive reminders. Autopilot is not available for the remainder of the drive.

Potential impact

Autopilot is unavailable for the remainder of the current drive cycle.

Set condition

Following three consecutive reminders, the driver's hands are still not detected on the steering wheel.

Clear condition

The alert will clear upon the start of a new drive cycle.

Check other alerts

With Service Mode Plus enabled, open Service Alerts → All. Review the other alerts for clues to the cause of APP_w213.
