Alert description
When the Autopilot electronic control unit (ECU) boots, the backup camera is unable to initialize.
Potential impact
Autopilot features are unavailable or limited. Rear view (backup) camera feed is blank on the touchscreen, in dashcam recordings, and in Sentry mode recordings.
Set condition
When the Autopilot ECU boots, communication cannot be established with the backup camera.
Clear condition
Communication issue is rectified with the backup camera, ECU is rebooted, and camera is initialized.
Check other alerts
With Service Mode Plus enabled, open Service Alerts → All. Review the other alerts for clues to the cause of APP_w140.
